Chromatic Twins, founded by artist Kris Chatterson and designer Carrie Chatterson, channels their mutual love of bold color and pattern into an exploration of experimental art, design and sound. Their collaborative process pushes the creative limits to shape experiences in a future-forward way.

Drawn Together by Color

In 2007, Carrie was working as a designer in NYC, and Kris was working as an artist in LA. Their love of bold color combinations and funky eyeglasses brought them together when they found each other online.

Since those early days, whether Kris was making work to show in galleries across the country or Carrie was working on high-profile branding projects, they frequently bounced ideas off each other.  There was always an underlying draw to work on projects as a multi-disciplinary team.

In 2022, they took the plunge to explore a collaboration, bringing together years of experience and strengths in their respective fields to create a fresh way of working.

Chromatic Twins is the genesis of this exploration.

The boldness, energy, and individuality of pop culture, contemporary art, music, film and fashion inspire us. These are springboards for a sequential process that add layers of visual complexity to our work.
